Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Program

We offer several DBT programs to help meet different needs. Our psychologists have completed in-depth training with the DBT Institute of Vancouver. As part of the DBT approach, our team meets often to talk about cases and make sure we’re offering the best care possible.

What is DBT?
DBT stands for Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. It’s a type of therapy that helps people who struggle with big emotions, tough relationships, or strong reactions. DBT teaches skills to help people feel more in control and manage stress in healthy ways. You don’t need a specific diagnosis to benefit from DBT.
Mindfulness

Interpersonal Effectiveness
Learn how to ask for what you need, say no, and keep your relationships healthy.
Emotional Regulation
Learn ways to understand and manage your emotions so they don’t feel overwhelming.
Distress Tolerance
Learn how to get through hard times without making things worse.

DBT has been shown to help people with many different mental health challenges. It’s a full treatment program that helps you build skills, stay motivated to make changes, and use what you learn in everyday life.
